The theme for Tech Factor Challenge 2016/2017 is: Aging-in-Place.
Participants designed and developed equipment or robotics application ideas to improve mobility for the elderly in the context of a home, and software for use in a smart-safe home or for health & wellness management applications.
A total of 10 teams made it to the finals, ranging from students, start-ups to senior inventors.
The theme for Tech Factor Challenge 2014/2015 is: Robotic Waiter.
Participants designed and developed robotics application ideas for use in the Food & Beverage Industry, built a robotic prototype to demonstrate the idea and deployed it in an actual restaurant environment.
A total of 10 teams made it to the finals, consisting of students from tertiary institutes and SMEs.
The theme for Tech Factor Challenge 2013/2014 is: Robotics in civil & security applications.
Participants designed and developed robotics application ideas for use in security or civil defence domains. A total of 11 teams competed in the Challenge, five from the NUS and six from the NTU, some of the prototypes developed include surveillance robots, medical robots and UAVs for security purposes.
